Hello there! This blog in particular is written by my brother. And here’s what he had to say.
“Im Danwel. (My name is derived from my parents’ names; Danilo and Lowelyn.) I always believed that hard work pays off. No matter what you do in life as long as you focus and believe in yourself, you will achieve your dreams. As long as you put your heart, mind and soul into it, it doesn’t matter if it takes days, weeks, months or even years. Every now and then, I would look back and think about how grateful I am for the people who have supported me through my journey. They’ve become my strength and my foundation to this success. I thank God for all the blessings I’ve received no matter how big or small it may be.
When I was young, I was reckless, careless and rebellious, wherein I didn’t take to account how it could affect my future. Until I came to the realization that my life needed to change. That’s when I started taking computer certifications. I took up A.S in Computer Science and then B.S. in Technical Management with emphasis in Project Management. Though theres times when I felt tired (especially since I worked full time and did school full time), I still trusted in God’s plans. I never gave up and never lost a bit of hope. I knew that I was going to be somebody someday. Despite all the hardships, I still made sure that I have time for my faith, family and friends … and time to party of course.
Few months ago, I moved to Vegas to follow my dreams and seek for a brighter future. I hope to land a job in one of the biggest hotels in Vegas as an I.T. Manager. I am planning on attending U.N.L.V (University of Nevada, Las Vegas) for my graduate degree of Masters in Business Administration and Masters in Management Information System. I am also in the process of getting more certifications for better job opportunities.
Education never stops. Knowledge is vital to success. Education is important. Never let anyone pull you down and stop you from what you want to do. Convince yourself that you can and you will succeed because life is never easy. You just have to be better!”
